Zaumau Red, Selected Harvest is created combining technology and innovation with the cultivating farms tradition of two generations, using environmentally friendly methods for producing the best wines.
\nVineyards are divided among several municipalities, Calahorra, Andosilla and San Adrian, all of them are in a place called “Mediterranean Rioja” with cold winters, mild and rainy springs and autumns, and hot and dry summers. The grounds have different textures, predominating limestone, sand, clay and gravel. Thus, the right combination of climate and “terroir” that featuring our location, favourable obtain elegant wines with soft tannins. Zaumau Red, Selected Harvest, is a wine made with a special blend of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes from our vines with low production, and aged in French and American oak for eight to ten months. It has an elegant cherry red with garnet tones, very clean middle layer and shows a complex aroma with hints of berries with some licorice denoting the oak past. Its flavor is excellent, dry, smooth and balanced, with a first step of medium body and a long and tasty finish.

Vinification:<\/strong> Fermentation in stainless steel tanks is made separately from each grape variety, after fermentation the cuvee is created by mixing tempranillo with graciano for 8 to 10 months in American oak barrels, with a slight subsequent filtering before bottling is done.
